I got at least 2 of those every year from the age of 8 - 15. And I was disappointed when I first got an iPod and realised iTunes didn't have them I was actually wishing they'd add the old ones so I could get artwork for the odd tracks I have from them. OP you'd be best emailing Apple, but I doubt you'll really get a reason.
