iTunes stuck in restoring iPhone mode

Well I was listening to TWiT the other day and Leo said that when he did a restore to 2.0.1 it fixed all his problems with keyboards lag and the like. So I thought that I would try it. Well when I did it didn't really work and now whenever I sync my iPhone I get the attached screen.

I don't want to try the new iPhone as this should work and I don't want to lose texts. Any ideas?
