I have subscribed to a tv show season, where i get each new episode every week. i am going out of town for 2 weeks, and would like to leave my laptop at home and just take my iphone. when a new episode is available, will i be able to download it straight to my phone without needing itunes on my laptop?

Not sure - never messed with a subscription on my iPhone, but it would probably require wifi - IIRC videos won't download over 3G.
