Does anyone else think it'd be useful to have access to the archive of podcasts on iTunes? I realize that a lot of older episodes of certain podcasts (especially news) would no longer be relevant but a lot of podcasts aren't time-sensitive and it'd be nice if I could just download them all straight to iTunes instead of having to look around on the web

THat would be really great, but then groups like This American Life wouldn't be able to make a buck off of archived shows that they sell on audible.com. I've thought the same thing you have esp. when my "Do not auto delete" option disappeared some of TAL started disappearing...

Maybe I am missing something, but if you subscribe a podcast through iTunes, you'll see a long list of episodes from god knows how long ago, even the ones you've never downloaded. You'll keep seeing them until you delete them.

Do you delete your podcasts automatically once they are played?

I have episodes TAL from months ago that has not disappeared, yet and I still have "Do not auto delete" option.
