Anyone knows why the iTunes Store supports always want to reset password and "test the account" and also what are they really doing?

The question may seem silly , yet I'm asking it because I had several issues with the iTunes Store and each time they ask me to do this.

Even when it is obvious it won't help. Even when it's the third guy I'm speaking with and the two previous password reset and account testing provided no clues, they are still asking the same question.

But what really bugs me is when I ask them why they wanna do it and what are they going to do exactly and what are they expecting out of it, they mute. As if I've never asked the question. What? I'm not allowed to ask this question?

Any hint? What's the big mystery for?
