Hello all

I just discovered the little bubble in itunes where you can select stereo or surround sound. I have all my movies ripped to my hard drive, but i cannot select the surround sound option. What do I need to do? When I ripped them, the had the 5.1 surround file selected.

Are you trying to play the files in iTunes or on the Apple TV? If in iTunes, then it won't work because your Mac will only play stereo (unless its hooked up to a surround system) and I don't believe iTunes supports AC3. You need to use VLC or some other 3rd party player for that.
