iTunes Sync Question

I am updating my wifes iphone for her to the latest ios but when I created a new library for her (on my mac) so she has her own separate files, I copied some music into that library (manually), but it didn't sync that music onto her phone.

Any ideas?

Why create a new library - just select what you want from the normal library then sync.

When managing the iPhone's content, you need to go into the Music section and tell iTunes to sync the content from the new library. This is because switching to a different library requires you to wipe what was synced from the previous one (... "because Apple says so", before you ask), so it's not done without specific permission.
