iTunes syncing (minor) issue

Why is the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox greyed out? I don't think it has been in the past.

Did I click some other button accidentally? Is it a known issue?

(iPod touch 4, iOS 5.1, iTunes 10.6.1, OS X 10.7.3)

I have the same issue with the grayed out "Sync only checked songs and videos"
I do not have Manually manage checked.
Please help?!?
