This has sort of been asked on here before but without many answers, and even searching the internet I haven't been able to come across anything definitive.

I have about 10,000 songs which I've been maintaining almost exclusively with iTunes over the years (I say almost, because in my pre-Mac days I did start with Music Match on Windows). Anyway, I have everything tagged exactly the way I want it using ID3 v2.3.

I wanted to bring some music to work and play it on my computer here and I'm noticing Windows Media Player doesn't read all the tagged info the same. for the most part its accurate, but I have a handful of un-tagged or incorrect tracks... from doing a little research it looks like some of the music may have ID3 v1 info still embedded and thats what its reading.

Is there a way to push the V2.3 tags to over-write the v1 info? I'd hate to have to go through everything and re-do it to match what I've already done, and on the Mac (though iTunes) I'm not even sure how I'd know which ones are V1 vs V2.3. (I've highlighted all and convered them to v2.3, but that doesn't show what still has v1 data embedded.)

A Mac solution would be ideal (a script maybe?).. but Windows is do-able if I need to... Any ideas???
