after clean-installing os X on my imac, itunes states that my iphone is synched to another machine.
this is quite a hassle as i don't want to have to delete the contents of my iphone and start all over again.
how do i tell itunes that no, my iphone is not synched to another machine, and have it let me leave my phone alone?

i have a back up of my prev system. anything from there i can use...?

cheers

My guess would be that it thinks it is a new machine because it is looking at a new iTunes library file. Retrieve the iTunes library files from the backup and see if that works.
