Itunes through Xserve problem

Hi, I am new to this site so sorry if this thread is in the wrong spot.

I am having problems trying to To put my itunes on my Xserve. My idea was that I take my I tunes library folder from computer A and put it on Xserve. Then on computer B, route my itunes media folder to the library folder I put on Xserve. I got the folder on Xserve but when I tell my itunes I want my media to come from the folder on my Xserve nothing shows up in my itunes. It says that its routed to the folder but nothing? Any ideas
