Hi there everyone!

I am not very mac literate and apologize if this has been asked before, but I have read other posts regarding the transferring of itunes but need some clarifications.

I've got an old Mac G4, which has my 'iTunes Library' on it and I used to keep the itunes media folder (the actual music) on an external hdd. I've now got an iMac and want to transfer the lot.

I have copied the 'Media Folder' to my imac but now want to know how I can transfer the 'Library' - along with playlists etc. - to my iMac? I understand that I will need to direct the new iTunes to my 'Media Folder'; is there an easy way to just 'replicate' the iTunes that I had on the G4? I am at present using my external HDD to copy from one to another.

Sorry if this sounds like a simple question - I'm terrified of losing all my tunes!

Thank you very much in advance,
J
