I just bought my first Mac, a MacBook Pro this summer and have been trying to transfer my movies and tv shows from itunes from my old HP laptop, to my new one. I transferred about nine movies so far, and I have about 30 that wont copy or play on my current computer.

Any ideas to help me out, I can't seem to figure this out. Would I be better off just buying an external hd and putting it all on there?

What format are the offending movies in? Some formats Mac OS X cannot play at all (Windows Media formats 10, 11, and beyond, as well as DRM-protected WM files), and others require additional software to play (Perian for a wide variety of formats, WM Components for WMV 9 and earlier).
