iTunes U - Re-adding files

Hi, I recently reinstalled snow leopard, had all my itunes library on an external hd, but forgot to get the actual itunes library file and data for ratings, playcount etc. I can live with that, but when I try to add itunes u files back into the itunes library, it puts them under movies, not under the itunes u section. So my question is, is there a way to get these files sorted back under itunes u without having to redownload them?
