iTunes unavailable?!

I've been trying to do some iTunes Purchases but I get the message:
"iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"

could this mean some updates to the iTunes store? I mean tomorrow is Tuesday...

Maybe some surprise events.. ?
Anyone out there with the same problem or am I the only one?

iTunes is up for me-looks like Elton John's catalogue was added.

Interestingly the store reverted back to last week's page after I just downloaded this week's free tracks... I thought it was kinda early for an update, must just have been a trial run.
