Hi,

I just got a new ipod for xmas so im new to iTunes.
I managed to sync my music to my ipod but a lot of my songs have been put in the 'unknown artist' group...

How do i change it so they're in the right artist group?

thnx,

becca

It's Easy

Highlight song in iTunes, select file>get info. Fill in any missing or incorrect fields. Re-sync iPod.

If you import your CD while connected to the internet, iTunes automatically recognizes the track titles and artist (not always true if it is a burned copy).

Also not always true if the album is obscure enough, even if it's not a burned copy. There are many artists, albums and songs that iTunes doesn't recognize.

Same thing here, not even finding ACDC info!

iTunes was able to recognize the artist and track names of my burned AC/DC records but none of the album artwork. Same with Tool, knows artist and tracks, but no album cover. And if you search the iTunes store for "Tool", the results contain none of their music.

iTunes uses Gracenote for it's track names etc., but the iTunes store for artwork. That's why!
