Just a quick FYI, there is an ITunes for Windows. The update bricks iTunes leaving it unable to open. Even after removing the app and resintalling it. Tried accress 3 systems with the same result. I would maybe give this update a couple of weeks to be patched and re relased. It has not been pulled right now.

Nah haven't tied that yet. Feel like its trying to push me to get the version from the Windows store.
You having the same issue @ian-frs ?

Thanks for the heads-up. I will not be upgrading until this is fixed. Don't really need to anyway. I don't plug my devices into my Win boxes anymore.

Specifically English (US). Apple seem to have forgotten about the rest of the World. The version available to download from the Apple website is older and so cannot be used to repair the bricked installation. I‘m surprised Mac Rumours haven‘t carried the story.

Is this why iTunes doesn’t see any updates when I try to update? Maybe they pulled it? I was getting a little worried that they had canned it or something, and I rely on iTunes and might not buy an iPhone without it.

It doesn’t even exist on the windows store right now, though I use the downloadable copy because I already have that installed prior to them putting it on the windows store. iTunes is working fine for me, but it’s on the old version 12.11 or whatever it is.

Removing the old installation and installing new one from apple.com with Eng (US) as default language fixed it. Didn't lose my library stats or settings or anything doing that.

You will have lost regionalised language/spellings across the Windows UI and possibly other applications that respect this setting.
