Hey folks

I recently went through a tedious process of moving my iTunes over to a third FAT32 partition and everything went smoothly.

However, now whenever I switch OSs and launch iTunes, in both XP and MacOS, iTunes insists on taking about 3 minutes to update the iTunes library.

What do I need to do to avoid having to update my library everytime I start iTunes up? Im sure its some sort of shuffling the .itl files and xmls but ive tried a lot of different solutions to no avail.

Thanks!

I believe it may have to do with how each OS does new line characters, and iTunes having to adhere to those rules because it was written naively for each OS.

OS X, Linux, and Unix use "\n" for a new line

Windows and DOS use "\r\n" for a return and a new line.
