I have my iTunes library on my Synology NAS (both library files and the music files) to enable me to play music via my mini mac and my windows machine.

I have suceeded in configurating is such, that i now can see the same playlists on both computers and an adition on the one is seen on the other. SWeeet!

HOWEVER there is a huuuge problem...everytime I open iTunes after it had been opened previously by the other machine, it displays a window with "Updating iTunes Library".

And this takes a loong time every time.

Is there a way to turn this off? Is this because i have to different OS reading the library files on the NAS???
