Itunes upgrading from Monterey to Sequoia

I am about to upgrade my M1 2020 mac mini from Monteray to the latest version of Sequoia.

I am planning to do a clean instal. I would like to just copy my iTunes folder to an external disk, do the clean instal, then copy the iTunes directory back.

Will this work?

Grateful for any help....note I am not that computer savvy?

Are you using Music or iTunes? What version of iTunes?
If you are using Music, you can copy your library and select it.

@JoCarr iTunes doesn’t work after Mojave.
Where is your current iTunes library (which Mac and OS…?)
