Itunes version 8 trouble, in need of immidiate help please

Hello, im writing today because i am having extreme itunes issues. I have recently purchased an ipod touch and im leaving for a long trip tomorrow and i really want to get it set up.
Now i have tried to install and reinstall itunes several times and im getting a certain popup and at this point idk what to do can someone please help me
