itunes video import

ok, I have videos on my hard drive that I have converted to .mp4, but when I go to import them into itunes to later sync into my ipod, it says "Attempting to copy to the disk"MY DISK NAME" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to." So.. I deleted the original videos to give myself some more space and I have added some videos, just not all of them so.. I don't know what's going on. All these files were converted to .mp4 at the same time so there shouldn't be any errors.

any ideas??
