iTunes vs Spotify

I was wondering what do you think is better and why?

I voted itunes because it's familiar and change is bad.

For getting music, LimeWire.

For storing and playback, iTunes.

Spotify because its not bloated and optimized very well for mac OS.

That thread was from last year and alot has changed on spotify's side and I just want to know peoples opinions.

Hm, one of them is a service where you can listen to thousands and thousands of music with occasional interruption or for a nominal fee, you can download the music on your mobile devices or computer and there are no adverts. Also, you can purchase music and now you can use Spotify with all the music on your computer.

The other one is a service where you can purchase music and apps. That's it. You also need iTunes to sync your iPhone.


Never in a million years I would choose iTunes, which I think is a bloated corporate junkware.

They overlap, but one certainly can't replace the other. I have a lot of music on my hard drive so find myself using iTunes more often.

Free music v paid music?

Spotify is much better! And it integrates with social networks and allows me to seamlessly sync my offline playlist with my android phone and iPhone over wifi!
