I upgraded my computer to SL and wiped the HD to clear up some space and now when trying to add music to my Iphone it wants to erase everything...\

Is there a hack or a way around this BS?

Restore iTunes library from backup. Or use one of the iPhone to computer extractors.

Did you log into the iTunes store on the Mac yet using the same account that you use on your phone?

He erased / wiped his harddrive and iTunes library.

I agree. If you backed up the entire library folder, then you should be good. Otherwise, your new iTunes library is being recognized as a new sync source and requires you to erase the contents of the iPhone and sync to this "new" library.

You can can sync multiple iOS devices to a single library, not multiple libraries to a single device.

thanks for the replies all.

Before I wiped the machine I did a 'time machine' backup and have that on my external HD. Do you know where and which files I can drag over so it will recognize me again?

thanks again

Yeah, your entire iTunes media library, including the library file and .XML file.
