iTunes wants to set my phone up as new?

I've been using my phone for a month or so after I replaced my old one. I set it up on the phone, and have never plugged it into a computer, so it's not backed up. When I want to plug my phone into my computer to add more stuff, iTunes wants me to set it up as a new phone or restore it from a backup. My phone has all my music, apps and contacts on this and I don't want to use it. Anyone got an idea on how to fix it?
