iTunes has this new thing where you can buy/create your own ring tones, right? The only flaw is, the 95% of nerds who DON'T buy their music from itunes can still make their own ring tones using garageband and send it through blue tooth onto their iphone or razr (which is what I do).

I mean, I guess it was good for the people who DO buy ALL their music from iTunes, because you can't copy iTunes bought songs over to garageband (grrr...). But there's still the people who buy cd's, copy them over, and walah. into garageband it goes.

I just think itunes really wasted their time, that's all.
I'm not even sure how it works, though.
But isn't it a rather silly thing?

This might be in the wrong category, but I don't know where else to post it.

For one, iTunes doesnt waste their time, Apple wasted there time with that iTunes feature. Also, i thught you couldnt do that cool stuff with iPhone bluetooth. I know you can with the razr.

As long as we're picking your post apart, the word is 'voila.' It's French for 'there it is.'
Anyway, I used the iTunes ringtone maker a few times and it's very easy to use. It's nice that we can now make and use our own since 1.1.2 has officially (or unofficially) sanctioned it, but the ringtone feature is there in iTunes for those who do want ringtones from their iTunes tracks. The more options the better...

It is a good feature, it is nice that 1.1.2 lets people use their own ringtones, such as myself. Personally I do not want to pay an extra dollar for a ringtone.

you're right.. The iPhones bluetooth is only for headsets... (and I guess some lucky cars)
