Since installing iOS6 iTunes wifi sync is now hit and miss.

If I start it from iTunes it generally works, but it doesn't when I plug my iPhone 5 into the power socket.

It worked fine before.

Any ideas?

It is also happening to me.

I would delete or add a song from/to iTunes on my MacBook Pro and after a sync (WiFi and by cable) that song would not apperar on my iPhone 5. I think I'll do a re-install from new tonight.

I wonder if anyone else if having this issue?

Its works

I have rectified the problem. Follow the steps.

1) Unistall the existing Itunes from u r desktop

2) Restart the system.

3) Install the lastest Itunes.

4) Connect your Ipad using cable to the Itunes.

5) Select your device in iTunes.

6) Uncheck "Sync With this iPad ove WiFi" option.

7) Click on Sync

8) Close Itunes application

9) Open Ituens Application

10) Now Checck the "Sync With this iPad ove WiFi" option.

11) Close Itunes

12) Disconnect the Cable from Ipad.

13) Open Itunes. Now wait for few seconds. It will connect through WiFi.

Thank for your help.

The problem is, after a day or so, wifi sync initiated by plugging the iPhone into the power does not start unless I reboot iTunes.

However, I can still start the sync manually from iTunes.

This is a problem that quite a few people have reported. An even easier solution, although perhaps not as permanent as the one posted here, is to simply turn the Wi-Fi off then on again. iTunes will then see your iPad.

Seeing the same here. Worked fine since Friday now it won't see my iPhone. But its still working OK on the iPad2 iOS6

I just connected 2 IP5s - mine I did a restore and my wife's was setup as new. I unchecked/apply, checked/apply Sync via wifi for both phones. So far only mine is showing when iTunes starts on my MBP Mountain Lion, iTunes 7.

I sent a feedback report to Apple.
