This problem has been going on for a while now but when I get new apps on the iPod and try to sync the apps to iTunes; it only syncs old apps that are already on the computer and not the new apps that I just downloaded to the iPod. The new apps are not even listed on the left side of the apps portion in iTunes for the iPod but however if you look through the home-screens on iTunes which is the right portion; you can find the apps on the home-screens but for some reason it will not sync the new apps to iTunes. This problem happens on both of the computers I have tried and I have tried re-installing iTunes, resetting iTunes settings, and telling it to sync manually. So how do I get these new apps into iTunes?

If you bought these from the App Store on your iPod, just go to the App Store in iTunes on your computer and re-download them from there. It will recognise your prior purchase.

I have no idea why it's not recognising them if they are indeed legitimate purchases.

Edit: Another thought, check that in iTunes you are signed in as the same user that you are signed in on your iPod.
