itunes wireless sync unplugged hack?

Mine syncs without being plugged in when I press 'sync' in iTunes. It's probably only automatic backing up & syncing that needs plugging in to power for...
Once you sync it once with it plugged into the computer you can wifi sync without having to be connect to a power source. You dont need a hack. The only thing is once you try to do a sync and it doesnt find your iphone on the wifi you'll have to connect it again to create a link.
Im pretty sure op is talking about not having the phone plugged in to power...

The phone doesn't need to be plugged into power, which is what the last 2 posts say.

Yes, the phone has to be plugged in to do a wifi sync, it does not for an icloud backup.
Here is the picture straight from Apple, I do believe it says it will automatically sync WHEN connected to a power source.
Next time, do some reading before you believe everything.

You're wrong. The phone will sync without being plugged into power if you hit the 'sync' button in iTunes, it just won't do it's once per day automatic sync unless it's plugged into power.
Being able to read is one thing, actually understanding what you read is another.
Guess what, you still cant sync from the phone unless its plugged in and I guarantee you that is what the op is trying to do. If your at the computer to press sync in itunes you might as well plug it in because it will sync faster over usb anyway.
You talk about me understanding, but you did not understand what I just typed or what the OP typed. YOU CAN NOT SYNC AN IPHONE OVER WIFI FROM THE IPHONE WITHOUT PLUGGING IT IN. I dont understand what do you dont get, get some reading comprehension and come back.
Yes, you can sync FROM ITUNES without plugging the phone in. But if you are going to get on the computer and open itunes just to sync then you might as well just plug the phone in and sync because it is FASTER...like I already said.

All I can say is, wow. You need some serious help. Go book a Genius Bar appointment or something.
Settings... General... iTunes Wi-Fi Sync... Sync Now. And this is without the phone plugged in to power, or to the computer. You can initiate the sync from the iPhone. Might I suggest you download the iOS 5 user guide for the iPhone in iBooks.

You can do it from the phone and from iTunes without being plugged into power. OP didn't specify whether he / she wants to do it from the phone or from iTunes. Either will work.
