Hi everyone.

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 running Mavericks 10.9.5. I have all 4 drive bays loaded with drives, and up till this morning I have been using one of the other drives to store my iTunes library (i.e not my Mavericks start up drive). I have about 4800 songs all up, occupying about 200 GB (most are high res files ripped from my CD collection). The drive that stored these files was rapidly running out of space, so I decided to copy the iTunes folder in my home folder to the my Mavericks drive.

The trouble is, a few hundred songs seem to have disappeared from the main iTunes window. The files / songs are most certainly there - when i check the iTunes media folder, everything is present and accounted for. But when I launch i Tunes, they are missing.

Any help in getting this sorted out would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

I have had a bit more of a look at the missing songs /albums, and most seem to be CD's that I have ripped in the last 6-12 months. I have been building my iTunes collection for about 6 or 7 years, and most of the older "rips" appear correctly. It seems as though the newer ones are the ones missing.

Thanks.
