Every single time I try and download my 72 purchased items, it comes up with a big red stop sign with '!' in the middle and "Unable to check for purchases, The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable, please try again later."

Anyone know what's up? It's been unable to do this forever, I thought it was because I wasn't running the latest iTunes, but now I'm on 7.4.2 it should be fine..

HELP!

Sorry to bump, but it's been a whole day now. Still nothing. I'm seriously pissed off, and all the iTunes Support Team could say was:

"I understand that when you try to start your pending downloads, it says that the iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. I know how frustrating this can be.

Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available. I apologize for this annoying inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience. Apple wants your iTunes experience to be as enjoyable as possible. Thank you for contacting iTunes Store Customer Support and have a wonderful day, Rosso!"

Despite what you seem to think, solutions to issues don't immediately appear as soon as you report the problem. If you reported the issue to Apple and they said they would investigate it, then you may have simply wait a bit.
