hi - i read here all the time, but have never posted before.

i just noticed that my recent imports, the last few days, are not going into the itunes music folder.

instead, they are going into ~music/itunes rather than into ~music/itunes/itunes music. the new folders are in the same place as where the file "itunes library" is.

I've also been locked out of itunes twice recently and i wonder if that plays into this - I've gotten the "disc is locked/you don't have sufficient privileges" error message. could only fix it by using an older saved library file.

2 questions:

- why is this happening? and what do i change to prevent it?

- is there a way to clean this up so the folders are moved to the proper place without getting the exclamation point when itunes doens't know where a song is located?

and if it helps, i have "import into library" preference checked but not "keep organized".

thanks for the help, eric
