iTunes won't install

Hello everyone!

I as a rookie mac user find trouble with installing itunes.
When I insert the iLife disc in to my mac every thing seems normal the instalation starts properly. And than when the installer program says: les than a minute befor completing, the instalation program freezes completely.
I also tried to download and install a fresh copy of iTunes 7 but than exactaly the same happened.
I hope somebody can help me.

Try downloading a fresh copy of iTunes from Apple.com and just install the other iLife programs from the disc.

have you bought a mac with osx pre-installed, because that should have iLife already installed on it, as the problem may be that its trying to install files that are already there

Move the iTunes-related package files from your Receipts folder on the hard drive's Library to the Desktop before reinstalling. These files can be found with Spotlight. Just search for iTunes and pkg.
