iTunes wont let me change "Cover Art"

Does anybody know what i could do? iTunes wont let me change the cover art for some of my songs. I change the covers and then when i come back later, it has changed back to whatever cover it had before. I tried both adding the image and having itunes "get album artwork" and it always goes back to the old covers

i have. i deleted all the old images and then changed them, but then they always go back to the old images

this happened to me once on one of my albums.

it just wouldn't update to the cover art that i chose, and when i came back it reverted to no cover art at all.

it was a compilation i had done in djay.
