I've even downgraded iTunes to version 7.x and still I get an alert. I've read that others have had troubles and the solutions were to downgrade iTunes 7.x or wait for a devteam patch... Is there any way to get around iTunes?

I'm trying to jailbreak my phone to a custom firmware of 2.2 and it already has 2.2 on it.

I have exactly the same problem.

I have Mac OS X 10.5.6 and already fixed the problem with the DFU mode, so I get my iPod touch into Recovery mode but then when I try to restore a custom firmware I always get Error 21 or Error 1600.

Does anybody have a solution or the same problem?
