iTunes wont play songs

I click to play a song and nothing happens, it just stays at 0 secs and the diamond doesnt move.

i am using windows and itunes 6.05 (after downgrading from 7)

Any ideas how to fix this,

Incedently the songs play fine in winamp so its definetly something wrong with itunes

No,

but, i just tried opening it and got any error, so i will try reninstalling that
