iTunes wont quit! WTF!!

This is pissing me off. Force quit doesn't work, it just opens right back up. There's nothing playing, nothing connected. I have no iTunes related widgets open. No CDs inserted. I can't restart my computer. I don't want to force shutdown. Help please!

Just force shut down. Then if it continues to do so, look for alternatives.

I forgot about ctrl+option+power button. Problem solved.

An even better way is to simultaneously press command-option-esc keys. That'll pop up a Force Quit Applications window and you could then force quit iTunes alone or any other afflicting app. For future reference maybe?

OP already says that force quit doesn't work.
