Itunes won't recognize Iphone

I accidentaly moved a file somewhere in my private/var directory. I was using cyberduck and open ssh when I accidentaly hit the mouse. Now Itunes will not recognize the contents of the iphone and it says I need to restore the phone.
I have a jailbroken Iphone 4 running version 4.2.6
I was wanting to restore the phone and maintain 4.2.6 instead of updating to the newest Ios version.
Cydia has shsh: iOS 4.2.6 at the top of the screen and I also searched for tiny umbrella and Ifaith in cydia, but can not find them.
Is there a way I can restore and maintain the 4.2.6 version.
