In Itunes when I press delete and then confirm it, it wont give me the option to send to trash, it only deletes from the library

anyone know how make it delete off my HD?

There are a couple reasons for this:

1. You're deleting the song from a playlist instead of your Library. You can use Option Delete to remove the file and have the option to move it to the trash.

2. The file isn't located within your specified iTunes library music folder (say, if you added the song to your Library from the Desktop or something).

so my music collection must be in the Itunes Folder for this to work

Open iTunes, click on "Music" at the top left side for individual songs. Find the one you want to get rid of, then delete it. You will be asked to just remove the song, or Delete it at which time it will be sent to the trash can. If you choose to remove it, it stays in the iTunes folder, but won't show up on any list. If you choose to delete it, empty the trash and its gone for good.

Basically. It has to be in the folder you've specified as your library, ~/Music/iTunes/ by default I guess.
