I recently discovered this issue that iTunes wouldn't sync lyrics over to my iPhone for some tracks.

There are tracks in my iPhone's music library that do have lyrics, but some don't. (yes, the tracks that don't on my iPhone, do have lyrics in iTunes)

I just removed all the music from my iPhone and re-added it to see if that would resolve the issue, but it didn't.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

I had this same problem and just solved it.

I read on a thread on apple's site that if you have it set to automatically down-convert songs to 128k when transferring, there has been a glitch with that that causes you to lose lyrics. Not sure how current that was though. You can check by clicking your phone under devices in itunes when plugged in, and looking in the "options" box.

For me, the problem was the application that I use to get lyrics, ironically. It's called Get Lyrical (and it's great, by the way). I discovered that if the application is open during syncing, a bunch of songs end up without lyrics. I quit the application and synced, and all of my songs that have lyrics in iTunes now have them on the phone. So if you're using an application that's accessing the lyrics in iTunes, or a lyrics widget, try quitting it before syncing. Maybe think about if any other application is tied to iTunes, such as a last.fm scrobbler or something. That's all I can think of.

Or it could be due to a plugin maybe.
