iTunes works better in Win7 than in OSX Mavericks

Ok I'm a bit confused on this one.

I have an '09 iMac running OSX Mavericks and also Windows 7 in a Bootcamp partition.

I sync my iPhone 5s to OSX, and my wife's iPhone 5s in Windows 7. Her's syncs very fast and performs backups very fast in Win7. But my 5s syncs incredibly slow in Mavericks.

I'm not sure why it is like that. Any one have a clue with iTunes would sync faster in Windows as opposed to OSX?

In my case I sync My iPhone on my mac and my mother's iPhone on her windows pc. Every single time my experienced have been that my mac syncs a lot faster my device than my mother's pc. I suspect this might be a great example of YMMV.

What?! I've got 2 Dell Latitudes in my house and a 2012 rMBP and iTunes is waaaay faster on OSX. I can't even fathom what you reported. Everything on Windows is slower, opening the app, syncing, etc. I always chalked it up to my MBP having a SSD vs the hard drive for my Dell Computers.

See syncing can take time and backups take time depending on your size... Ur wife's backup may be small compared to yours that y it must be going quickly.. But surely sync on a Mac is way faster than windows, yours is one in a million case...

In my experience, iTunes on Windows is extremely slow when trying to do anything.

I have a hard time believing this. Maybe it's just faster because you have an older mac?
