iTunes writing tags to file on smb share

Hi,

I have my files on a Windows machine in the next room, connected via Gbit (AirPort Extreme). The iTunes library is on my MacBook Air right here. But when I'm trying to add artwork to my files it isn't saved with the file. Normal tags (name, year etc) work.

you're not just getting itunes to automatically download artwork, are you?? that only saves the artwork to the computer i think. that doesnt actually save the artwork into the tag of the mp3. you need to go into the info of the music file, paste the artwork, then save it.
