I recently purchased an iPad mini and when i started looking around I noticed all the songs i purchased from iTunes were on my iPad. The iCloud symbol was next to the songs but, I have iCloud turned off aside from contacts and calendars so I am not sure how they got on iCloud? Once you buy a song from iTunes is it automatically accessible on all mac devices after that?

thanks guys-

Yes, that's right, and this is not related to iCloud.

(it does work on Snow Leopard as well, although iCloud only works from Lion).

On the iPad, as on any other device, you have the choice :

- tap the song to listen to it WITHOUT downloading it to the iPad.
(=streaming)

Or :

- tap the cloud icon (not "iCloud") to download the file.
