so i had some issues with microsoft office and the support lady over the phone had me delete the iTuneshelper app off the list of apps to auto start when i log onto my iMac and ever since then when i plus my iPod or iPhone in it doesn't automatically open iTunes... i have to manually open it which is annoying. i'm assuming it's doing this now because that iTuneshelper thing isn't there anymore... can someone tell me how i can get it back on there so that iTunes will start up when i plug in my iPhone and iPod?!

thanks.

Go to your account in System Preferences, then Login Items and click the Add button...

Navigate to: Applications > iTunes *right click: show package contents*> Contents > Resources > iTunesHelper

That should do it :)

It actually doesn’t let you right-click and open package contents from within the “Add” dialog, so just navigate there in Finder and drag it into the Login Items list
