hey im trying to find out what the best way to get things that i record from my TV onto my computer... will iTV be able to do this when it comes out?

While no one knows what this product will be once it ships, the only thing Apple has stated is that it will stream content from your Mac to a TV.

Nobody knows yet, though it is possible.

Right now the EyeTV line from Elgato seems to be the leader for mac DVR functions.

hm....currently i have a Motorola 6416 box, with stuff on the box already, and i want to get the media off that onto my PC or MAC, i have both. but this seems incredibly hard. So for future shows that i record, i would like to be able to put them onto my computer, is EyeTV the best way to do this?

If you make it compatible with QuickTime and FrontRow you should be OK - mpeg4 video with AAC audio is what I would recommend.
