From what I have read the upgrade program requires activation on a post paid account. I prefer prepaid for various reasons. Planning to start a postpaid plan to join the program, and then cancel it soon after activation. Anyone see any problems with that? Apple and the loan provider don't track your membership to the originating carrier at all I'm hoping. Probably going to start with Sprint for best overall carrier compatibility afterwards.

That would work...see how long you have to cancel service with sprint before you get charged an activation fee or service.
