I chatted with an Apple rep just now. She was rude and unwilling to help with my question. My question to her was regarding the IUP and the X being a delayed release. This will cause extra payments this year (or mostly next year) at release if we want to stay on the launch schedule.

What answers have you gotten? Anyone?!

From Apple iup legal. Technically they are not promising you can upgrade exactly every 12 months. Per you conversation sounds like their stance is not to care right now. They should officially address this so everyone knows what to expect. If they will offer considerations or not.
  • Eligible iPhone Availability. Upgrading to a new eligible iPhone is subject to its release and availability at the time you exercise your Upgrade Option. Depending on the eligible iPhone model chosen, your monthly installment payment may change.
