iUP and Pre-Approval

I apologize if there is already a thread on this or if people already knew about this. I got an e-mail from Apple this morning and got this:

Anyone did this yet? I did and got approved.

*Note: This only works for those who are currently enrolled in iUP and is eligible for the trade in.

Yes, I saw that last night. I have clicked on it but did not finish the process.

How does the approval work? Do you put your payment info etc. just like paying for the 1st month and taxes. TIA

When I did it this morning, it asked me to enter my carrier info, and asked me to enter the Credit card I was going to be using. They won't charge you until the phone ships, you are just entering the all the info now so that you don't have to do this on pre-order night.

Correct, this for those who are currently on IUP, not for new customers.

I got mine early this morning and went ahead and did it. I'm 99% sure that I'm going to swap my iP7+ for the 8+. I don't really care for the cost or extra features on the X and figure since I'm on the upgrade plan, why not? It's only pre-approval so I can always change my min din the next couple of days. It's nice of them to send that out to not have to waste the time during pre-ordering.
