I've been in the IUP for a few years now and haven't had any issues but this year nothing seems to work! Earlier this year I switched over our Verizon account to a business account (we own the business) and it seems now that I can't go through the IUP anymore. I wasn't able to do the pre-approval and figured I try it today - assuming maybe they had some kinks to work out - but I'm getting a message that "Your current Verizon account type isn’t supported on apple.com" and stating I have to pay full price and contact Verizon later to get a SIM and activate.

Has anyone else run into this or potentially have a workaround? I'm wondering if I do the upgrade in-store if they can get around this or if this is always going to be a blocker?

Appreciate the insight!

Business accounts aren't eligible, it's the same way for AT&T. I've never been able to order from Apple.

When I was on a corporate account I couldn't do it either. I know you said you're the owner but I don't think it matters I think those account types just flat out can't do it.

One year Apple was saying people got around it by opening a personal account with their carrier, doing the IUP and then cancelling the carrier account same day. My husband did that once, it's a pain and an extra credit pull so not worth it imo.

We just stick nowadays to full retail and sell/trade in last years model etc.

That stinks but I guess a trade off for the business discounted rates. Thanks for the quick input!
