IUP Pickup 2 questions

IUP pickup - I have a 256 gb Black Verizon model on reserve for today

1 - I want to buy outright no financing - can this be done?

2 - It says you cannot cancel the reservation? I am not driving 2 hours to find
out I cannot buy outright. How do you cancel?

I believe, as of a few days ago, you are locked into IUP with the reservation. If you don't mind the couple of point hit on your credit from the pull, there is. Thing stopping you from paying the IUP loan in full after purchase (although I think you have to wait 30 days)

You can't cancel, but if you don't show up it gets cancelled automatically. The reservation does nothing to you account and does not prevent you from obtaining another phone elsewhere.

I was able to buy outright the Monday before they changed the policy. Then I was turned away the Friday after they changed it.

Even when I was able to buy outright, it took asking the manager.

When I was turned away, they said there was a systematic change that prevented any possibility of buying outright. However, I have heard a few stories on here from people who said they were able to do it.

You certainly can buy it outright. I was able to do that last night and I reserved it using the iUP link with no intention of enrolling in iUP. I got the Verizon model 7 plus 256 gb Black and the salesperson I got was cool. Even the manager on duty yesterday was cool with it regardless of what the email stated.

Safe to just call the store.

UPDATE

Went to Apple Store with email reservation code, 2 minutes later I was done, just said I am paying full price!
Now I have the iphone 7 plus Verizon version with ATT sim. Perfect!
